Steelplinkers Dueling Tree arrived!

I just got the 8 paddle shooting tree, from Steelplinkers.com, yesterday.

It also rained yesterday so, I decided to put it together.
Inside the box you get a whole bunch of parts wrapped in lots of reading material. lol

Instructions, parts, base, paddles assemblies, allen wrench, and a few spare parts too. I'm glad the paddle assemblies came already put together. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do it myself. I got the 1-1/4" paddles but, there's also a 3/4" option.

Goes together very easily. All the screws are the same size which makes it nice. They put it in the box a little too early and the newspaper stuck to some parts.

Smelling, inspecting, and claiming it for his own.
The whole thing stands 27-1/4" tall.

You can tell this is hand made because the paddles aren't perfectly in line. I'm not really concerned with this or the stuck newspaper pieces. After all, I'm going to be shooting it.

Lots of speed shooting apparently makes condensation form!

After about 1/2 a tin of pellets shooting at about 33ft/lbs the paddles showed no signs of additional bending.

compressing gas increases temperature, expanding gasses decrease in temperature. Now what impresses me is you are doing this so quickly that you are actually able to decrease the temperature of the surrounding shroud to the point it becomes a lower temperature than the dew point. Impressive. You ever thought about shooting in a timed event? Oh that's right, I think you hold some world record at the EBR for just such a thing? Hmmm. Pretty cool Tom, just yanking your chain, or is that "flipping your paddle"?

Hey, by the way that is a great looking setup! Enjoy it.

"Hynzie"real nice i wonder if they have any adapters to have two vertical and a horizontal across the top i will call them pat
At the top of the tree are two threaded holes. So, it's possible to add whatever you want to the top. I was thinking about making a small plate to hold an AGN decal, drill a hole through the quote bullseye, and mount a bell behind it!
The issue with adding too much up there is that it may become too top heavy and the base might have to be anchored down.

FunGun - Thanks for the laugh! :D

"Tominco"I plan on bringing this to EBR this year. If the range masters and organizers will allow it, I want to hold friendly "Grudge" matches at the practice range.
I'm down for a little competition that I can further embarass my self at!
So... Are you "calling me out" for a grudge match? Is that what I'm reading here? I think that's what I'm seeing but, I just want to be sure. lol :)

I wouldn't say, calling you out, but rather I would be a willing victim to your skills. 😳
