They sure do love lay pellets for poultry-I was feeding and gathering eggs for a land tenant and noticed a huge increase in feed consumption coupled with a decrease in egg production. A morning’s worth of observation alerted me to a flock of about 200 starlings that would mob the feeder, literally crawling over each other to get at the feed. A couple dozen dead birds thanks to my Marauder and a scarecrow eliminated the problem. They’re very skittish around here now for some reason…..

That’s what was going on here. If you look close you’ll see the feed pellets in the feeder. They were cleaning out the feeder in like 3 days. Over 100 birds I’d guess. Only got 10 before they got smart.

Do you have success getting starlings to decoy? I’ve tried , I’ve had limited success but it’s difficul. I’ve even tried a fox pro caller along side the decoys.
