STAGGERING REDWOLF SAFARI! ARE YOU SITTING COMFORTABLY?

My RW HP .22 was reprogrammed and I'm @ 1000fps with my midnite version with the 25grn monsters....with the beast 34grn at the same setting there doing 900 fpsbut are not accurate at 100yds. Where as the monsters at 100yds are quarter to nickel size groups with no wind. I tried setting the low power to 20ft lbs for FT shooting 14 grn pellets but the accuracy isn't acceptable. I was surprised my HP can get over 1000fps with the monsters.

How many shots are you getting with the 25g pellets and what is your working pressure? I have an original (2018) RW HP .22 and if I want a really tight ES then I can only shoot 4 magazines @ 940fps from 240b - 175b.

Kdog, this is exactly what I was saying about the changing RW calibers, the RW HP breech port is a massive almost 5mm as is the barrel TP!

On the 30FPE gun its only 4mm and on the 12FPE gun its slightly bigger than 2.5mm, these port sizes make huge difference on the consistency of the gun at lower powers, basically with a very large TP it is very, very difficult to get the gun to shoot consistent velocities at lower power regardless of the programming.

I would like to somehow get an adjustable TP on the gun but haven't worked that out yet!

Okay not great pictures from the IPhone on the workbench but some at least, perhaps directly under the light like the walnut would show it up better?

Ha, worst picture ever! But thanks for trying. I'm an Android user but I think if you tap on the picture (like right on the black stock) it will either automatically adjust the exposure, or give you an option to do it manually.

Ok so I just chronoed my HP .22 the way I have it set up right now. On High power I'm getting 20 shots with a avg of 1007 fps from 1020-1000 fps .....the next 5 shots it drops 10fps...the next 5 it drops to 970fps. But for 20 shots it's smokin at 1007 avg and doing it accurately at 100 yds.

Now medium power it's shooting 80 shots between 900-880fps and also doing it accurately out to 50yds...I haven't shot this setting at 100 and don't plan to.

My low setting I tried 20ft lbs just as a FT option but it's not to my standards accuracy wise so I will be changing this.setting to a much higher setting.

Well some great news, I received some NIELSEN 18g .177 slugs on Friday, tried them yesterday and the groups on HP setting at 50 yards were as good as (if not slightly better) than the pellets which is a first!

Hoping to get some 15g NIELSEN shortly and try them both out to 100 yards, my experience so far with slugs is that if they work at 50 they will work at 100.

What has emerged is that some slugs will shoot great at 25 but go to hell at 50 so I have high hopes for these slugs at 100 yards.
