There is one long range shot in this video using my .25 Mrod. The shot was right at 100 yds with a slight breeze blowing right to left. I had to aim about a mil dot off for the wind and almost 4 mils hold over. This shot shows the perfect example of what can go wrong to mess up a shot at such long distance. When I squeezed the trigger the starling was standing up right but as the pellet approached he squatted slightly causing the pellet to hit slightly higher than I was aiming for. The .25 pellet still hit vitals and killed the bird but a little more squat and the pellet would have cleanly missed or just injured the starling. If this shot was with a .177 the starling might have needed a follow up due to less energy and a smaller hole. So many minor things to go wrong on 100+ yd shots that you cant predict. Thats one reason I dont take long shots on game animals. I dont want my meal to hobble off and die somewhere I want to make sure its going down where I can retrieve it
