Greatest Hits ! Squirrel-Benjamin Marauder

"plinker"Thanks frambonian ! I agree. I'm beginning to enjoy the precision of a pcp.
Me too! I spent all weekend plinking chipmunks around my property (5+ acres). I had a bad infestation, probably 500+ as of two years ago. I have drilled them down to probably around 200 left. They had been destroying my yard and landscape. Prior to this year, I have been taking care of crowd control with several spring rifles. Good but not great. Now, with the Bobcat MKII .25, it is a whole new ball game. I blasted ~50 this weekend alone! Hard, humane kills also. Whacking Chippy in the head at 70 yards is a great feeling!

"nsw812"Good shooting, which rifle and caliber did you use on these squirrels?

Thanks! I'm new to the pcp airgun sport. Previously I had a $99 springer that was hit or miss, or wound and go for a second shot. I have expensive match grade 22lr's (powder burns) so I knew I could shoot. I was looking for a silenced 22lr and stumbled upon Ted's videos. Wow! changed my world. In may of 2015 I bought a .22 Benjamin Marauder. That's the gun and caliber. Crosman hollow points for ammo. iphone6 to video through scope.

I'm using an inexpensive $29 solomark deluxe click stop from amazon. I picked it because it came with the cell phone adapter. I've bought some parts to make my design that will work better with a casio that I have, but I'm busy carving a new stock for the benjamin so I haven't gotten to it yet. Here is a picture of my temporary set-up. I just couldn't wait to get started.

I am a dedicated tree rat blaster out of need. I bought my home 13 years ago and the squirrels were out of control here. I had nails sticking an inch out in the air where wood used to be years back. Problem was that I live in a pecan orchard where there is a feast for four or five months then the nuts run out and the rats get very territorial. They mark any lump or corner (like the wood trim on my house) by chewing the previous scent mark away and applying their own mark, and repeat. I put an end to that with my trusty RWS 34 in 22 to the account of over 700 in ten years. Then I came across this Edgun fellow with pcp air guns and the rest is history as they say. Now my neighbors have no squirrel problems.
