I just don't get it. So my TX stacking pellets at 30 yds last week was today shooting 2 in high and 2 in left. Maybe it just needs to 'warm up'. Nope.

Maybe I shouldn't have tried those Kaiser pellets. Nope. JSBs same.

So I crank a quarter turret rev on my Airmax dwn and a quarter right and the gun stacks several pellets nearly in the same hole. W T F !?

I've brought this up before and received the "that's just springers" resonse. There has to be a scientific answer to this. It's gotta be the scope. The gun shoots straight. If it was the mount ( Bullseye ZR ) I would not be able to stack pellets after the adjustment.

Maybe the Hawke is near the limit of its adjustment and the tube inside is not held firmly. The gun does hang upside down on its rack.

The 340 N TEC Compact I got from ddransoml holds zero perfectly from day to day with its red dot sight.

"ddransoml"@nueces...how do the shooting characteristics compare to the TX? I hear that it's (TX) the epitome of accurate Springer shooting.
The 340 has a much nicer shot cycle than the TX. With at least as much power and very nearly as accurate. I don't know if a tune would improve the TX. I'm not willing to give up any fps so a lesser spring is out of the question. I know there are other things that can be done. The TX jumps pretty noticeably when fired. The 340 I don't really notice it. But you did some tuning on it so its probably better than factory. I'm not completely sure the 340 can stack pellets like the TX as I'm just using the dot sight. But the pellet usually goes where the dot covers. I've also found I can hold the 340 like a regular rifle or a pcp as well and still put pellets mostly under a 25 cent piece at 30 yards. The gun is light enough to carry too and it won't be long before it's blooded. Rio hasn't had fresh squirrel in over a week. Your gonna be sorry you ever sold this gun.
