Speculating on when Crown MK3 will come out.....

So I've been tempted to get another Crown MK2 because I love the crown and have many barrels and an extra laminate stock. Came close ordering one but hesitating because I have a feeling FX might drop Crown MK3 soon. All they need to do is add the M3 bottle and regulator and done! Maybe even a bit bigger valve like the M3 too to add a little power. I'm just bored and wanting another gun I don't "need". Not to say the MK2 doesn't shoot well, in fact it's phenomenal but we all want more more more! LOL

Crown MK2 was launch last November so this got me thinking......I just really hope the new action will fit the old stock.

same here been waiting for this to happen ,

...My advise would be buy 3 of them before the mk3 comes out! 🤔

I guess that I'm all set then!

I can't see that a Mk3 (M3?) Crown can be a top priority project at FX right now. I don't see loads of Mk2's rotting on the shelf anywhere for lack of buyers. Nor can they apparently keep up with the demand for their other guns.

I maybe see FX designers 'playing' with more built-in electronics in their free time. Bigger splash in the market when FX does something like that. But maybe the Crown Mk3 will be the platform where they choose to bring that out? An FX direct challenger to the Red Wolf? FX doesn't just refer to the Impact as their 'flagship' product, although an electronic M4 as a direct challenger to the Delta Wolf would be just as possible.

Holy smokes @TMH!!!!! I guess you kinda like the Crowns.......LOL

I honestly don't know why but I swore to get the Impact M3 but when it came out I didn't have the desire to get one before they get sold out for many months and bought the crown instead, now I'm wanting another crown. First world problem indeed! Even though the crown has far less power than even my MK2 impact but it just feels nicer on the bench and to shoot. I've grown to like the Crown more as target/fun shooting gun more so than my impact for some reason.

Impact is a far better carry/hunting gun with a far more compact form factor being a bullpup.

I bet it'll be another year, from the past it's about 2 years before the next MK comes out. Just a guess.

You do have an excellent point on their refresh cycle. I was just thinking they have so many shared parts it would be easy to make an MK3, just bolt on some M3 parts onto it. Could be just my wishful thinking and like you said they have been following the 2 year major refresh cycle with no reason to deviate.

I personally hope they offer the one directional bigger power wheel (which is being worked on) and leave it be! The two reg thing is basically for 300 bar and a pain for the normal 250 bar peeps which is why a lot of people are bypassing them. The MK2 is a straight up keeper! My advise would be buy 3 of them before the mk3 comes out! 🤔

You make an EXCELLENT point on the dual reg is meant for 300 bars! I don't even fill to 250 most of the time and set my reg rather high at 150 bars so if I have 2 regs I will need to refill almost every other mag. I didn't think about that till you mentioned this, very good point!!! MK2 is absolutely phenomenal! However my bank account strongly disagrees with you on the buying 3 crowns. LOL

I still feel the Mk1 is perfectly adequate. Fxs QC is a big concern. I'll be steering clear till it turns around. If it turns around.

Maybe it's my luck but my 6 FX guns (used and new and sold 3) had almost no problems at all when it comes to QC. I did have to replace 1 gauge that was off and 1 o-ring which I destroyed myself, given how much I mess with my guns they have been surprisingly durable trouble free. I really have no experience with bad QC and even if something slip through the crack like one of the gauges FX has been very fast at help me sort things out with parts. Sending guns to them is a hassle and does take forever though but I prefer working on my own guns.

Holy smokes @TMH!!!!! I guess you kinda like the Crowns.......LOL

And to think that I thought that my having TWO Crowns was perhaps a bit excessive

Thanks to @TMH you are down right conservative and my 1 crown……paltry? You lots are horrible!!!😂🤣😂

Hey - They are different calibers and barrel lengths!

(And I was even thinking about getting a .30. Fortunately they aren't in stock anywhere)

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I was wondering if you missed the adjustable cheek rest on the walnut stocked model.
