Glem, I got about 45 shots shooting 34gr slugs at 960fps. But you will double that quite easily shooting lighter slugs. I just prefer heavy as most of my shots are at long distance or high wind. My drop at 100 meters with a 25m zero is only 2.3 Mils at this setting.

Have you tried Altaros turned slugs .22  0.15 BC ? https://www.altaros.cz/en/56-ammunition

I have this mold by MP molds looks similar they shoot pretty good for me.  The .22s shoot better than the .25 version for me.  They are heavy 36gr in .22.  These are swaged or cast?  Not sure what turned means other than on a lathe.

Thats really cool, so that's what the Altaros gun is slinging to ridiculous distances.

Im carefully deciding on what airgun to get next. This I have to admit is on the top of my list. Just about called UA and discussed a few things with them. Funny thing is that Im not much of an FX guy but the impact has always had me interested due to its versatility, and now that they handle slugs so well. Well, you get my point. I also like to tinker and the impact seems to be very much a tinkering airgun. What I am wondering is if the parts needed to convert over to this setup will be available. That price seems a bit much for just a few small differences. I would rather buy an impact then swap out the parts myself.

It’s not bad, maybe do something different on the barrel. What I find more disturbing is the ridiculous hat he wore in the last video. Hopefully he puts that thing out of its misery in the next bonfire scene.

I like the features on this. Being able to set your seating depth is a game changer. I shot cintrrfire benchrest seating depth makes a big difference in group size.

It strikes me the pin probe (fixed) could become standard on FX guns in the future.  Would do away with all the probe hacks.  Just how do you know the projectile depth or the correct depth to adjust to?  Modern smokeless rifles have kit for testing the lands jump when using reloads & tuning.  Or simply load a dummy round long and chamber it.

A mature chap at the range last week using a .45 drop block rifle showed me a device that allows him to position the projectile consistently then insert the loaded case.  He also casts his own projectiles, 90% lead 10% tin.  Looked like he might even polish them ;).  Accuracy was outstanding.

Enjoy, your vids Matt.  Has your mother forgiven you for killing her table?

Yes, I have to agree – not worth the price.  Also the esthetics aren't as good as the Crowns. Current Impact owners do get some great upgrades. Seems like the prior Crown owner are left behind, but, if you only payed $1500 for your Crown what do you expect…. :(
