Just wanted to drop in and say this guy is AMAZING! I purchased an FX Impact X in .30 from Ken and he took care of me. I felt special, but I feel like Ken treats all his customers like this.
If my gun could talk, it'd probably tell you Ken did things to it no one else has before. It'd tell you Ken made it feel alive!
I however, got the gun back thinking it was just a quick sight in, adjustment of some settings and off it went. I'm a fairy good tuner, but figured what the heck, why not. Lets see what a pro can do. It'd at least save me some time, pellets and a day trip to the range (which happens to have its 100y shut down for the last 3 mo).
Ken went over and beyond of that. Single most impactive thing I can say I enjoyed besides the groupings, is the trigger
. Whatever magic he worked, it is crisp and light. Exactly what I've been wanting.
Ken kept me updated throughout the process and answered my many questions. I was surprised to see when he sent me a picture of this group at 100y in some moderate 3-5mph wind.
24 shots at 100y, 22 of them under his thumb.
Ken is very professional and also sent me this.
When I received the gun I took it out and my first group after sighting in produced this in these wind conditions. 10 shots @ 100y
I then went out my second time and it produced this in these wind conditions. .823" 10 shot group at 100y. Best group ever and I'm only just getting to know the gun. Reg is also probably settling in. Did I mention gun is shooting at 900fps and I'm getting about 48 shots per fill. NOTHING to complain about here.
Needless to say, I'm almost positive you wont be disappoint with SPAW/Ken Hicks and his work.
