SPA 700 Carbon Fiber Barrel Shroud...major difference!!!

Picked up a carbon fiber barrel shroud at Jefferson State Air Rifles and was pleasantly surprised at the difference it made! Now the gun is next to silent!

I'm using one of DonnyFL's Tanto moderators, his smallest in the arsenal, and although it quieted the gun down quite a bit, the 700 still had a bit of bark to it when shot. I shelled up the $40 for the shroud and two rubber grommets and in three weeks it arrived. Apparently they had to order some more CF tubing. At any rate, it just slid right on and since my neighbors are assholes of the highest order...I took it out and shot it immediately. Bingo!!! just hammer slap and pellet impact. The shroud made the 700 as quiet as any one would want.

I feel $40 is a lot for what you get in equipment, but if you take into consideration the noise elimination and no police coming to the door...it was a bargain.

I do believe if you order one of their 1/2 X 20 adapters for the gun...it's pre-drilled to allow air to escape into the shroud...you could probably make your own shroud, it's just a tube with a grommet at each end to seal in the air to the shroud. The tube is 20 mm OD, or 0.82" outside diameter. Length is 8.75 in length (including the protruding grommet lip at either end).

Well, there you have it my friends. If you have similar anally-oriented neighbors, as do I, then this little tube will save you a lot of grief.

Kindly 'Ol Uncle

It’s the music that is bothering your neighbors, not the shooting. Ha ha! Just having fun.

nalby,

I'm not sure if anyone in the USofA stocks the PP700 / S-A

I do know that one of our neighbors to the North has them in Canada though..
Right now, it looks like he's out of the .22 cal versions, but still has the .177s in stock.

The only other source that I know of for extremely fast shipping [just a few days]
and for the .22 cal versions would be KRALE, but, they're in the Netherlands..

https://www.krale.shop/en/artemis-pp700s-a.html

Either one of those sources is most likely your best bet.
That's where most if not all of us have acquired ours from.

Great people / Great businesses and Highly Recommended!

DirtyDovi,

Thanks I've ordered one from Wes at https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/, He was even nice enough to drill the transfer port out for me.

Where in NY are you, I'm in New Hampton it's close to Middletown

You're welcome, and awesome! That's fantastic!
Glad to hear that not only did you score a new 700, but it'll be modded even better!
Wes, what a great dude!

NY - Ah right on man, there are a lot of us NYers on here. I chat with a few daily!
I'm currently living way upstate in Wayne County. It's close to Buffalo / Rochester..

I'm From Cortland County though [Central NY]

Cortland is right in between Binghamton, Ithaca, and Syracuse.

Nice to meet you dude!

🙂👍

Unless they jack the price way up...I definitely am gonna need a 750 when they come out this fall. Especially if I can get my hands on a .25 caliber~ This little gun is shooting way out of it's league!!!

Kindly 'Ol Uncle

Oh No! Don't get me all riled up thinking about the 750 again!! 🤣
You're not kidding.. These guns shoot phenomenally for their price point, so, **Fingers Crossed**
I'm still a sucker for all things .22 cal. [Air and Rimfire] I did get a .22/.25 combo [Kral Nemesis] But that's the extent of my experience with .25
You and a Lot of others are really making me want to venture into that caliber now, and I couldn't even imagine how fun it'd be out of a pistol.

🙂👍

[Edit]

PS: Speaking of the 750, I was on Krale's site last week and again yesterday - keeping an eye out for them.. 😁
If/when I spot any becoming available for sale, I'll be sure to let you guys know ASAP!!

Hi Mike!!!

Yeah...new neighbors, but kinda think they are way better than the rest of us. If they give me too much crap, I'll toss a dead coon way back in their crawl space. I doubt they even know what a crawl space is. (snort...)

Looks like the old forum is deceased. Not much going on over there. And the Yellow Classifieds don't seem to have the number of listings they used to have. I guess tastes change. Take care...

Well Uncle Hoot,

I ordered the SA700 from Wes Bob vor my B'day. Woo-Hoo!!!

He has a Canada day sale going on which he includes a red/green Halo sight with it at no charge. What could be better!

I have a very odd use for an AP. You see, we are totally covered up with Scorpions on our property. Slow year for them. So far, only killed apx. 550. A lot of them inhabit my shooting berm. Can't get to them with my walking staff, too rocky and steep.

I had an ag in my safe that I knew nothing about other than I had one many years ago. Turns out it is rare, and worth a bit. It is a S&W 79g .177. Seems it is the only air pistol actually made by the Fire Arm company. Not just a Chinese ag made with a companies name as you find at the big box stores, but actlaly made by Smith and Wesson.

Turns out it was made in 1979 and looks like it cam from the factory yesterday.

I rebuilt it, and made a few tweeks. It is shooting at over 550 fps. Woo-Hoo!!!

Well, it got me stoked, and since I have plenty of PCP equipment, it only seemed natural to take the next step into a PCP Air Pistol. After seeing reviews adn the accuracy + fpe, I had to order one.

Wes Bob has been a pleasure to deal with .

I will contact Travis to inquire on the Shroud you purchased from them. They are a little tied up with the release of the Raptor at the moment. I have high hopes for it. ;<)

Yep, the old forum where we first met kinda died. I was afraid that would happen when they took on Steve of the Yellow as a partner. GRRRR!!! It was a real shame as it was the launching point of Big bore AG?slug shooters that has effected many a AG fan.

Most have no idea how much is owed to the TAG for the innovations started there.

There is another innovation that is starting to take hold. I came up with a barrel harmonic's damper idea that is really showing its worth with both pellet shooters and med. and big bore shooters. Even JSAR is testing it on the prototype Raptor with success. It can be found on the gta under "testing new discovery" by KnifeMaker

Your Nephew, Knife/Mike

SHAOXING SNOWPEAK AIR GUN FACTORY

Well there you have it guys! "Annie" and I are now tight as two ticks. I interpret her message to mean she will send me....and only me, any further information about the PP750...the rest of North America will have to deal through ME to get this gun!!! Muwahaaaaahaaaahaaaaahaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

"Oh no!!! Who can help us now? Superman is dead!!!!

I've talked to Wes about the gun. I like it, But---

cocking lever should be on the left hand side for a right hand shooter, and the grip angle is far too raked for my taste. The put grips on it that make it look a bit like a 1911, but has a steep angle more like a Luger.

I should be getting the SA700 in a few days. I have a .25 barrel coming for it. ;<)
