Events Southern Michigan Gun Club outdoor air rifle match USARB questions, Mattawan, MI

I've secured the 25 meter targets for this seasons matches and I was thinking about purchasing some 50 meter targets. We had a few shooters that had a good time last Summer doing the 50 yard matches, but for the most part, we had the best attendance for the 25 meter. How many of you would like to shoot 50 as well as 25, or would you rather just shoot 2 full matches at 25 meters each competition day. In talking with Chris, the club is open for us to have our matches on the first Saturday of each month, the May Saturday is range cleanup, so; June, July, August, September, and October. I've had too many bad weekends in my past on first weekend in November with shooting matches so I don't have plans on running one then. Also, There was mention at the end of last year on trying to get one going last weekend in April... we'll have to see. Be ready in case it jumps up on us.

I sent out an email to all the shooters that I had emails for that completed with us last year. I basically asked the questions above about 25 meter and 50 meter. for the most part all shooters would rather compete in 25 Meter benchers, and most are PCP shooters. We do have a few that would like to shoot some 50 Yard or Meter, but they would rather compete where there is a larger body of shooters. That seems to be 25 Meter. So this year we will schedule all our matches to be 25 Meter, 3 targets per match, 2 matches per day, total of 6 targets for USARB registered. What we can do is after the 2 matches are over for the day, if a few shooters want to stick around for fun we can run a few targets at 50 Yards or Meters. for practice under USARB match conditions, time, distance, etc.

We are building our club to remain the best USARB club around, and catering to the shooters that show up and would like to shoot USARB matches under USARB conditions is the best way we know how.
