Hello, I'm pretty new to airgunning but recently purchased a decent quality springer that has been loads of fun to shoot. After a few tins worth of target shooting in my back yard my interest has turned towards hunting with my air rifle. I have zero experience hunting and I honestly don't know where to begin. I've been looking on the f`ish and game website to get an idea of some of the steps I need to take but was wondering if there was anyone is Southern California that would be able to show me the ropes so to speak. I live in Bakersfield.

I've read the laws and when the seasons are. I was looking more for someone around the area that wouldn't mind lending me their experience with hunting in southern California and what area(s) I should head to that would suite a novice hunter.
