I've so been hoping for a carbine version!!! Something with a sporter or thumb hole in a more traditional style.
Bullpups and me just don't agree...the long I owned for a while shot lights out but I just cant get comfortable shooting one!

I for one like it and it gives me hope that the new design will shave a few pounds off, which has kept me from buying one. I am a hunter and a heavy rifle is a turn off for me.

This "tactical" stock doesn't really seem like a step forward, though.
You can add an adjustable butt plate to any Veteran.
You can add a hamster.
you can add a cheek rest.
The design shown is a step backwards IMO.
The carry handle, which doubles as a bag rider is gone.
Maybe they have plans for adding that?
Carry handle is one of the best attributes of the pup design.
It will be interesting to see the final design when it comes out.

Yeah Matt, I’m not 100% sure, but based on what they wrote, this isn’t a new gun or anything like that. It’s just an option such as getting one of those Saber Tactical stocks they have now. I think, hope there’s still something new coming next year.

There are a few baffles that reside in the shroud in front of the barrel, which adds the necessary length of the shroud. One can remove the shroud and baffles, but it is as loud as a .22 LR at that point. Or one can direct thread a Koi, which actually shortens the OAL on the Veteran.

I think that’s a great option to have, specially for those that like to hunt and carry the gun on the field, my 22 short is very light but my 25 long is heavy, definitely I would like to get that stock and reduce some of the wait.

It’s just a stock for the current production guns, as far as I know. I suppose mainly for FT use, but I can see how it can be used in actual hunting too.

I think that's an Anschutz style rail.

Just a correction but the Veteran is actually at least 1 or 2 inches longer overall length with the Koi mounted directly to the barrel than with just the stock shroud. The Tanto might be closer to the same length mounted directly to the barrel as the shroud.

Agree. I have 2. One long in .25 and a standard in .22. At first it was a bit awkward for me to get use to. And being a lefty I've always shot right handed guns. Nice to be able to keep them shoulderd while shooting. I then thought I'd move the cocking lever to the left side and try. Wow. Now that seems strange. Lol

I have the Veteran Long .25 and love it but I hated the 2 x 4 beech stock so I took my time sanding and sprayed it with black bedliner and HAPPY I did.
Couldn't wait for an adjustable but stock so I made my own. I wonder what the weight will be on the new tactical stock????????
