    I’ve had the same thing happen to me with supposedly 2 different websites. I’m thinking of pulling the listing, adding watermarks to the photo, and then reposting with new photos.

    It would be a good idea to watermark images so they couldn’t be so easily stolen, like this perhaps;

    Too bad there is not a way to just find and arrest these crooks. I imagine they can be anywhere in the world.

Watermarks make it less likely they will be stolen. It’s like putting an alarm system on your house.. People can still break in but they’ll usually choose an easier target. If the watermark links to a different website it should be a tip off that something isn’t right.

    You could use windows Paint program and just put “SOLD BY CRUSHER ON AGN” or something like that.

    Maybe this would work do your add as a graphic image that way you couldn’t cut and past other info into it easily do it with a colorful background would help and mention the web site your posting on

    Shoot just don’t post any pics to adds. When someone wants to see a pic text or email them.

    Add your nick and name as watermark to pictures. It will be too much work for scum to use those.

    From now on unless I know the seller I’m going to demand to see the item over the cell phone connection none of the bs that I’m selling for a friend and don’t have it handy. This post has been a good warning to us all

    Yes I have learned my lesson for sure…even though I sold the gun today…I would not want my name associated with any type of scam or shady deals…some people suck

    I vote for finding and beating the cr^$p out of them. Part of the problem is our fault for letting it happen. Talking on the phone, FaceTime of the product, check of the address they want $ sent to and getting references and checking them would all but stop the problem. It would be nice if they would supply a name of a supplier they bought from and you could check with the supplier to see if they really did have a transaction with that person. But that is wishful thinking. What would happen if everyone in the airgun community replied to their add telling them what a POS they were. Maybe they would find some place else. Sylvan
