Did you try zooming in........sometimes map markers are stacked and you can only click on one unless you zoom down to the level that allows them to be distanced from one another a bit. I noticed this when looking around my locality.

I am not even on the map anymore? Got Curtis Green in two different spots and I am gone?
Just look at the map for Odessa, Texas, There is a Dogleg in Midland, Never been able to get hold of him?

Your still there, his is just on top of yours. If you zoom in and pick on his that is in the center of Odesa, you will see 1 of 2. you are 2.

How often is the map updated? Or more specifically how long after someone joins the forum does their name appear on the map? Just curious.

the member map is totally voluntary. You have to put yourself on the map.

I see it now, For some reason Curtis Green is on top of me,
I am no where near him on my street location?
Maybe I need to have a talk with this Curtis Green and tell him he is Hogging the map...

When I open the map, all I see is myself. How do I check to see anyone close by where I live?

i don't do much maintenance on the map. I periodically look for duplicates or entries that are clearly wrong, such as a gun club marked as a person or a person marked as a shooting location. I found a few overzealous folks who had 5+ entries on the map. Some were legit but others were accidents.
