I'm cutting, pulling, burning poison vines off my Cherry trees. I wish to graft fruit Cherry branches from mother-in-laws tree to make use of the better root system wild cherry tree.

After they die they can be used for something else.

Hopefully my children, grandchildren, great-great grandchildren continue to have cherries. If we have bees.

The annual early morning dark hours at the National cemetery with our small group. Then much like you JamesD it was back home to work in the avocado grove, it seems there is always something to do. We had a fairly hard frost here three days ago and a lot of stuff I had planted got nipped, so I’m cleaning up plants today. Good luck with the grafting too JamesD!

Well, I don't guess it is a memorial day agenda, but I have a friend down the street with cancer so I spent some time with him trying to brighten his spirits and let him talk about all the good old days in the Pittsburg Steel Mills. Interesting guy and he needs someone to talk with, finished up the day walking and then mowed the grass. Ole Glory and my POW/MIA flags are still flying high, the sun is shining, white clouds moving along, low humidity, about 80 degrees and I know all this because I just had my cataracts removed from my eyes and everything including the colors are simply radiant. Life is good! God is better!!!!! Peace to all!

Yes Sir, I do appreciate you pointing that fact out. Some don't know. I've heard stories of people burning & getting it in throat, eyes, lungs.

I myself have had cases where my eyes were swollen to almost closed. One of the reasons I'm even bothering to strip they vines from the area I'm cultivating for beauty & habitation, so such a thing doesn't ever happen to me, mine, anyone visiting.

Well, I guess some would wisely wonder why I'm burning it at all. First red download shows the downhill view of tree I just liberated. That vine will be burnt in a controlled fire when nobody is around. I only burn on stumps or problem roots once an area is prepped and safe.

As I cut a section of the vine out, and then place the remaining climber in a jar of poison

poison lol. Hopefully this works well with out me contracting more. A small sacrifice in the big scheme of things I guess.
