So how are the P15 or Skyhawks in .177 ?

Been thinking of buying a .177 pcp and want to go with a bullpup. Since I already have .22 FX 400 and .25 cal Cricket I am wanting to get a light, easy to maneuver bullpup in .177 which will be used primarily for bird shooting at farms from a truck. I see lots of talk about the .22 and .25 P15's but not too much on the .177. Are they a decent shooting pup and what kind of power and shot count do they get? Really don't want to spend over $500 so the P15 is what I'm looking at getting. Not sure I want to pay extra for a prettier stock, but I might. Really just wondering if the .177 in bullpup form is worth it or just get a .22 to go with my Royale.

Last year I bought a 177 bsa r10 to use at my dairy farm permission and found out it didn’t do very well. I had starlings take good solid hits and fly off, plus they don’t like wind at all. Went back to my .22 and sold the 177. I have an hw95 springer in .177 that I use if I want.

Seems to be a more popular calibre in the UK and by all accounts a laser, once you make a few changes have a look at the Artemis Owners UK Facebook page, probably a lot more experience with this airgun on the other side of the pond, where they routinely kill Rabbits, Crows and other large game quiet easily on sub 12 ft lbs with .177.

Seeing how you already have a corvette and a camaro, you would be adding a pinto with a nice paint job to your fleet. If you click “buy” and know you will probably be working on it and dumping money into it, you won’t be disappointed. They don’t use different regulators or tools to build the .177. It’s a decent gun once you get it lined out. It’s light, at least the P15 is because it has minimal wood.

I have a P15 in .177. Hasn't needed a thing and extremely accurate. I bought it because no one had any feedback on the .177 and I decided to find out for myself. No regrets and then bought another one in .22, not as much chance to shoot it , but another one without issues.

Thanks for the replies. Love the Corvette, Camaro and Pinto analogy.

I'm going to think on this for a bit as I really dont need it just kind of wanted one. I also have a Career carbine in .22 and I can turn it down as low as I want. And it's fairly quiet without an ldc when turned down. Probably just use it.
