smooth twist vs smooth twist-X accuracy?

Has anyone seen a direct comparison in accuracy between the original smooth twist barrel and the new smooth twist-X? There probably aren't too many people who could do such a test right now, since you'd have to have both versions of the barrel and swap them in the same rifle. Ernest mentioned doing accuracy testing at some point, but I haven't seen it in any of his (excellent) videos yet.

I also know that Matt and Ted both have Crowns, but shot their Impacts at EBR. Mat was using a new X barrel though, and I'm not sure about Ted's. I'm guessing the Crowns are so new that maybe people stuck with the Impact due to not having enough time to practice and learn the Crown?

My reason for asking is that I'm really wanting a .25 or .30 barrel for my Impact, and I'd like to know if there's a good reason to wait until the X barrels become available. Impact barrels are available, of course now that people want the new ones :)

Thanks,
Rusty

The replacement X barrels are supposed to be ready in January FX time so hopefully by March you’ll have one . I’d wait. The only reason Ted and Matt went with the Impact is that what they are most comfortable with after only a few months on the Crown. I’m happy with the Crown Accuracy at 100 yards I’m under 1” and I’m just a weekend shooter, it gets better every week.

I wouldn't discount the ST barrels, but the STX barrels sure made their mark

He did do an interesting video where explained why he thought the Guns like the impact with is magazine had an advantage over the pure BR rifles with single shot loading.
I had wondered why guns like the RAW which are obviously very accurate BR rifles don't do a better.
Short version is they can't quickly take advantage of consistent wind.

i imagine THE FX men had a lot to do with the tuning of MATTS IMPACT he said he stayed at the home FX rented for EBR so FRED AND JOHAN and others could have helped with the tune ,,,RAW is coming on strong winning many other compatitions ,but it was my thought exactly i have a RAW AND FX and theres great qualitys with both but FX dominates this competition
