Slugs Slugs everywhere slugs, made me want to shoot a couple at 200 yards today.

I have commented on a few posts here lately about slugs. Shared a few old photos even.

So I thought I would put a right now this moment group photo. Today's 10 shots at 200 yards.

Stock Cricket .25 cal. 30.5 gr. .2500" swaged slugs @ 874 FPS.

I shot a 5 shot group and walked all the way over there to see if they were there. They were. Black marked them.

Returned and shot the other 5. Probably only a 3+or -" group not that good. But, that's what I put out their today.

A real world expectation of what a stock PCP gun shooting slugs might do.

Nice shooting! What slugs are those? How do they perform @100yd?

My slug that I swage - 30.5gr. They are sub MOA at 100 yards.

This was just a way to show the average expectation I have from a slug, out of a "mid." power PCP. And a Beer break.

Just go light, 31gr. - 32gr. unless you have the power. That's just my opinion.

Nice!, maybe if you up the speed to 950 fps or so accuracy will improve? Thanks for sharing!

The 950 FPS you suggest, has been my dream gun. Closer to 1050 FPS has been my "Dream Gun". 950 FPS is more reasonable.

I have a 35 cal. Cricket I planned to use for that. Until I saw a damaged action, caused by a broken Valve Stem.

Guess I'm a pussy, because resting my cheek on a .25 cal. Barrel, (More restrictive) Bolt, Receiver and pulling the trigger on that platform lost it's appeal.😬

Looking at a different path to that 950 - 980 FPS hopefully. Just a Barrel, Bolt change to a "bastard" gun I have. "Black Beauty" sorry Derrick.
