Slugs from the Edgun R5M .22

If any of you folks with Edguns, the LW barrels absolutely will shoot certain slugs amazingly well.

Here is a 5 round, 50 yard group I just shot (in the freezing cold...brrrrr) from the Matador .22 cal, bipod and benched

The group is about 9mm, or 0.4 inches. I was getting 3/4 to 1 inch groups before, but just cleaned the barrel well and they tightened up. Gotta clean em regularly gents!

This was using the VK 22.5 grain HP-DB slugs, as pictured, running them at an ave of 840 fps. (35 ft-lbs). The mushroomed slug I pulled out of the dirt after it passed through a 5 inch pumpkin at 82 yards. Yes they expand quite nicely at this speed.

Looking forward to running them 100-200 yrds.

Hi I love my R5m for slugs , I currently have mine set up for Hi power slugs and I am getting about 1 inch groups at 150 going 910fps ,yards with 34 gr MP slugs , I am testing the NSA 23 grains now , and I can tell you after zeroing ,and shooting targets I have taken squirrels out past 200 yds this week it makes shooting squirrels at like 150 yards too easy , today I was 5 shots 5 squirrels

These Edgun Shoots these slugs extremely well! A ten shot group is 1.25" at 100 yards.I use the 24g 2S VK's and they are leaving the muzzle at 940fps. My R5M Long in .22 just kicked serious with slugs in ass in 2019, 2020 will be even better. I'm doing another round of tweaking this winter and hope to be shooting them 60 fpe and sub 1" by spring.
