Slug Power kit

I recently bought a Slug Power Kit for my Impact MK2 (w Power Plenum and 700 mm Slug A).

When I first bought the Impact the power kit was not out. I replaced the OEM 52 mm hammer spring with a 57 mm spring from FXUSA,.because I could not get past 130 bar and barely getting 910 fps with 34 gn JSB/33.5 gn NSA. The 57 mm spring corrected that.

I got the kit mainly to get the needle probe. I am thinking that the washers included are to obtain more spring tension from the 52 mm spring; am I correct in assuming that?

What I plan to do is use the needle probe along with the lighter valve spring and ball that comes with the kit. I'm thinking combining that with the Huma Dual TP that I have ordered will give me plenty of power for slugs

Does anyone have an opinion on this; would you use the valve spring with the 57 mm HS?

Thanks for the input

I would say yes about the spring washers. I think your approach is a good one for a bit more power. The only downside would be it will take a little more werq to tune to lower powers and calibers after your current mods.

I installed the kit on my Gen 1 so it was a bit more werq. I had already ported my barrel and one of my first few shots with the pin probe installed I ended up with a slug pushed down the barrel port! So yes the dual port is a great idea.

Yeah, I’m trying to get the most speed at the lowest reg setting for efficiency. Then I’ll get into tuning.
Guess it won’t hurt to install the new valve spring. I did pay for it after all.
will leave washers out for now with the 57 mm spring.

I agree this mod will make it tough for lower power but I have an older Gen 1 Impact which will be the dedicated pellet shooter and this one will be the Slug gun.
Luckily no mod here is permanent.
