slow motion setup

I hope am not asking a redundant question here but has anyone tried the Side-Shot mount using an Android Note 8 to shoot slow motion 720p at 240fps?

You think this setup would show a pellet slow motion in flight?

I can't find an option that I like that will allow the use of a high speed camera. I want to see through the scope and still capture slow motion. (I know about the Rusbear scope cam & the Eagle Eye scope cam but I don't really care for them for a variety of reasons). Maybe the Rusbear would be fine but the Eagle Eye will only use Gopro's camera and I don't want that. I know that either of these options may be better than the one I'm asking about but I like the quick and easy Side-Shot mount (I just wish that it would work with a better slow motion camera than a cell phone).

Hey buddy, I recently purchased, set up and tested the Side-Shot. I have an Eagle Vision/Casio Exlim combo and this has huge advantages over that setup. (See my recent post on this forum)
In answer to your ?, 720/240 is just fine for seeing the pellet. (I used this setting and now am 1080/240) The secret is focus and lighting. Make sure parallax is correct, and you will get better results with light from behind and a contrasting background. Also, scope power setting has an effect. On lower power, the pellet is in focus through more of it's flight while on higher powers, the pellet does not come into focus until after the apex of it's flight. (mine is @ 20x to 24x for example) I have used Android and Apple IOS, with both yielding these results. In short, go buy one...best thing out there...for now.

I use 1080p 120fps through the Open Camera app with my Motorola Z2 Force Droid and Side-Shot. This captures the pellet in flight when slowed down in editing, but not great.

If I use my phone camera by itself at 720p 240fps, the pellet is clearly visible with smoother slow motion, but not as crisp in resolution. Also my phone camera doesn't have manual focus so it usually has the reticle not in clear focus. Where through the app, I can lock the focus on the reticle and things look great.

I started with a camera with flip up screen behind the scope, but I like the Side-Shot mount a lot better.
