Sling Swivel Stud to Arca Swiss Adapter

Well given the overwhelming response, I'm guessing no. So I decided to make one myself, simple enough design. Uses no tools, and attaches at the stud only. The whole mount can be 3D printed except for one single 3.5x20mm pin which is what goes through the sling swivel stud. Included a cutout for the gauge too. I suppose this isn't useful for anyone else, unless your Crown just so happens to have the exact same swivel stud positioning as mine, but if anyone wants the STL to give it a print themselves I'm happy to provide it. 



Now if only it'd stop raining/snowing/sleeting/whatever for an hour or two some time this month I could set my tripod up in the snow and shoot standing. As an aside, if you've never shot off a tripod ball head, you're missing out.

Looks good, what tripod ball head is that, I’ve looked a few but price always scares me, in summer I shoot off bench but in winter having a tri pod gun rest would be a lot nicer to use when shooting out of my home, my portable bench takes up a lot of room in my living room when I shoot.

I made this to get me by untill I splurge for a ball mount type unit, this works but you need to be easy with it being it’s not a real heavy duty tripod.

I didn't buy it for airguns, as I do a fair bit of photography. It is really not the ideal rig, money no object. A genuine arca swiss would be better, as the ball on those isn't round so provides increasing resistance as the offset goes to the extremes. They're pretty wild to use, great piece of kit, but 400$ is simply more cost than provided utility. Especially since the true ideal would be something more like a Kirk King Cobra or a Wimberly head. Then again I guess there are cheap ones of those too:

*shrug* As a long time associate/assistant to a couple professional photographers, I'm not overly enamored with the cheap chinese stuff as dropping in some cases 30K+$ worth of camera is literally never worth cheaping out on your mounts/heads, but........
