Tuning Silicone oil

Don't use silicone, any kind, to lube metal to metal parts. It is not a very good lube for that and can cause them to freeze together just like locktite on a bolt if they are under pressure (not air pressure, just tight pressure.) Use regular gun oils and greases for that.

Use silicone VERY sparingly on the part of the pellet probe that contacts the breach O ring. It works great when an O ring is involved. I use a light silicone oil like Crosman silicone oil for that, some people use silicone grease. Some don't use any.

In any event don't let it get into the metal to metal contact parts of your trigger pivot or sear release mechanism where it may cause a erratic or unsafe trigger pull.

Dow (and others) makes special purpose O ring lube. Doesn't make much matter what you use, if anything. If you lube, just get a very little on your fingers, and rub the O ring with it. Keep it away from high pressure/high temp metal connections. Unless the O ring is serving as a cushion against moving parts, clean and dry is probably as good.
