    Hi Fellow air gunners,
I have come up with a method of silencing backstop that absorb and do not ricochet or wear out like wood backstops.  This back is made of dense rubber and 1.5″ inches thick 11.5 inches wide and 13.5 inches long and can be used indoor and outdoors when screwed to a backstop and sell for $35 including shipping.  I have two that I will give away for free and clear.  The first goes to the first responder with a .25 cal to test and write a review.  The other is open to any one.  Just pm me with your mailing address and its yours.

MOD EDIT: MODIFIED TITLE BY ADDING (ENDED) NOW THAT BOTH BACKSTOPS HAVE BEEN GIVEN AWAY TO MEMBERS.

GShadow no need to send back.  Just a few picks and words about your thoughts of the product would be great.

    Thanks,
    Bey

All the silent Backstops are spoken for but you can still purchase one.  I will be making them  available in the classified section for $35 including shipping.

ibey26, The backstops arrived today. I wasted no time in giving them a tryout. Silent indeed, my backyard range is limited to 25yds. All that can be heard from down range is a dull thud. No more sharp crack from hitting wood or loud clangs from metal . Thanks, I think you have a winner here. The pellets from my FX Bobcat did not penetrate the outer layer either.
Mods…..if this should be in the feedback section please let me know. Thanks

MOD EDIT: You can leave feedback for Ibey26 in the “buyer/seller feedback” section. If you’d like to do a review on this product, please use the “reviews” section. Thank you.

@loafr98 your welcome and I hope you enjoy it.  It’s best mounted by three screws install at the top for any that do penetrate the top layer they the two layers can be seperated and they will simply fall out the bottom.  Here are photos of  Beys silent backstop. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qgo5gahc65y0jxe/AAAQeUzJlqsOyKGwOpjKknOZa?dl=0

On mine the pellets penetrated the first layer but were either trapped between the layers, or stuck in the first layer.  How often do you think the first layer will need to be replaced?  I suspect that second layer will last a LONG time.  Do you sell replacements?

    Hi there,

Just seeing this post.  I apologize for the delayed response.  The backstop is two ply intentionally.  The first layer slows the pellet and the second layer is stop the pellet.  The layers are attached at the top so the layers can be separated at the bottom to release the pellets that are trapped in between the layers.  The backstop will last for thousands of layers as the material is self healing.  Also the plys can be rotated meaning the first ply can be moved to the back and vice-versa to extend use.

Card board box filled with shredded rubber mulch, Cheap, and just makes that thud noise as well. you can repair it with duck tape. or replace the box pour the old mulch into the new one tape it up and tada! start all over again. try it you will like it.
