Sightron has a new scope coming

WOW!!! Not sure charging into nightforce ATACR, march, swori, IOR and many other well established high end scopes back yard is going to do well for Sighteon, not that I can afford one anyways but doesn’t seem wise. Wonder what kind of discount we can get when it flops. Even if I had that kind of money that certainly would not be on top of my list of scopes to buy.

Edit: only thing seems good would be the 40mrad elevation adjustment but at 49oz it’s a porker.

Edit 2: Why bother with 8x zoom range with FFP? The reticle will be completely useless at 5x and probably too thick for precision shooting at 40x! Do these people make design decisions ever use their own product?
Design zoom call: what’s most popular features people on the internet want? FFP, large zoom range, high magnification, fancy glass…..all checked! Is it extremely good any anything? Don’t known but it checks everyone’s boxes so it’s good at everything right?

😂😂

My problem is no (40 mm) rings on hand. Lol.

No worries it comes with the rings already! Lol At that price it should. But not gonna lie of you have the money seems like a great scope. However at a hair under 17" and a whopping 49oz likely won't be anything but a benchrest scope.

Oh some intrepid field target shooter will try to campaign that 3lb beast on their rig, assuming it focuses down to 10 yards.

Just imagine, a 12-14lb target gun becomes a 15-17lb gun....😳

Can also function as a serious nightstick or Billy club if necessary... Use quick release rings and it assists with self defense or scoring disputes... ;)

he he, I understand MLB bats (googled it, not a baseball guy) have to weigh between 2 and 3.4lbs. Weighing more than most bats used in MLB today, this new scope is a little on the heavy side to be swinging around like a nightstick or billy club, lol.
