SightMark Citadel 3-18x50 LR2 Riflescope

If you like the $259 Optics Planet TAC Vector Optics Taurus also with Lifetime Warranty and Chinese made as well say cousins so to speak then it's right up your alley because they got very similar glass.

Turrets are kinda mushy for both.

Hold on you better off buying a way better $1099 on sale for $550 Japanese scope that's like the $1499 Element Nexus.

It's better than the $1499 Element Nexus. At $550 no complaining no regrets. You snooze you lose dunno if sale ends today.

I have a Crimson Trace 2 series, also made in Japan and it is a very nice scope. I own some other nice optics - Zeiss, Swarovski, Leupold and others and my 2 series compares well against these. The 3 series above is a step up from mine and uses ED glass, mine is just HD glass so I would expect that scope to not disappoint. I know the top of the line 5 series is produced at the famous Light Optical Works in Japan, but I’m not sure which factory in Japan produces the 3 series. Either way it’s a good buy and I definitely recommend considering it.

Optics is like the TAC Vector I had briefly owned the Citadel and returned it within the allowed return time. Thought wow an overpriced relabeled Tac Vector that's all. I kept my TAC Vector scopes because they were cheaper with similar glass.

Buy it from a return friendly dealer or be prepared to get store credit from DVOR after you return it and I must state nothing beats first hand looking through hundreds of different scopes first hand and returning the crappy overpriced ones.

Everybodys eyes are different and your eyes might not be perfect so you won't mind what you look through and all scopes will seem really clear to your eyes.

Yodoyle,

I just checked the specs on that Crimson Trace and noted the length is 17 inches. I'm just curious how much it weighs and I don't see it listed in the specs.

Suckers pretty darn heavy like the Tract Toric. Well probably a teensy bit lighter than the Toric.

Only reason I didn't take advantage of the 10% off early this month was because I thought it be on the heavy side for 30mm and 25 parallax.

Ironically, I did just pull the trigger on the cameralandny.com deal for Cronus BTR, near the same weight in a 34mm.

Thanks. A lot of the Tac Vector models look a lot like the discovery scopes esp. the compacts. I've had mixed results with discovery scopes. Some are ok some aren't, I've bought 4 - sold 2. I know you aren't a huge fan of Athlon but they got me started and hooked on FFP. I have 1 talon 4-14, 3 6-24 Argos BTR, and one Helos BTR 6-24 from Midway at $299. I should have bought 2, and also 1 Hawke Sidewinder 4-16 FFP
