Sidewheel for Vector Sentinel?

Hi Y'all,

I recently acquired a Vector Sentinel 10-40. The scope shows great promise (especially for the price) in terms of ranging and clarity so I want to get a wheel for this thing so I can shoot some FT with it.

Does anyone know who makes a sidewheel specifically for these? I know vector makes one, but it isn't suitable at all for FT since there's no real way to mark it up. Are there any custom makers who have a template for the Sentinel?

Scope-Werks will make a wheel to fit any scope if you supply the specs/measurements of the wheel and setoff to clear your stock, but its going to cost 50% or more of that scopes price tag. I really like his work and have 2 ordered right now (different scope though).

A simple DIY modded $9-$18 (if you shop smart OR NOT) UTG wheel may work if you don't want to shell out the big bucks or don't have a 3d printer or if neither your library does for free use.

For FT, a comma style wheel is more suitable. I had https://dmpc3d.com/ make two for my Falcons. Took about a week. Cost about $60.

The UTG wheels are a little small for FT use but a little ingenuity and you can make them work. Heck, when the original Vipers were still available you could get their stamped steel 6" wheel for $40. I bought several that I've adapted to multiple scopes. Still use one and still have an unaltered spare....

I know someone does home made 3d printed commas and turrets for $40 plus shipping. You can do it yourself for almost free if your library has a 3d printer.

Send a 3d file or accurate measurements of the side focus knob.

I make a magnetic detachable wheel for the sentinel. I have 5 or 6 of these scopes, love them. The detachable wheel is great, hatchet style and is nearly an 8" equivalent.

This is a picture of the same style wheel on my pistol.

I only use ABS for these critical parts. PLA, PLA+ or PLA Pro will not do the job. It is strong, but cannot take heat, it will warp. ABS can warp, but at a decent amount higher temp than PLA. Haven't had warping since switching to ABS.

WOW that's a nice rig.

Very impressed with the Vector. For $180 I think it might be the best buy in optics...especially for entry-level FT.

Amen to the ABS. I ended up having a nautilus wheel 3D printed out of ABS...light, sturdy, and UV resistant.
