Are you actually having a problem, or are you asking if it will work with a side wheel? Based on the distances on my gun/scopes I see no reason why it wouldn't work on any scope, even with a side wheel.
If you have the clearance, you may be able to rotate the mount so the unit/phone sits on the right side. I was able to do it on a prior setup but I had to live with it being 5-10degrees off angle. I think I recall even having to move my rear scope ring a little to clear part of the mount to even get that close. Depending on how you load (mag especially) and/or the cocking lever. position... that may become the stopping point....
