sideshot gopro 7 with eagle vison 12mm 1/2.3 lens

If you don't already have side shot go pro then I recommend just buying the side shot go pro case. Then it would be plug and play. It will fit hero 5, 6, and 7. It runs for $279. I got the phone version which is $199. But I wanted 240 fps. So I switch to the go pro 7. I just remove the phone plate that connects to the side shot. It has 3 screws holding it. To get the go pro case to fit on the side shot you need a plate between the side shot and case. I do not have any machine to make this plate so I just use plywood. Cut it into a square block, drill 3 holds to match where the original phone mount is mounted to the side shot. Then I drill a hold into the wood to see through into the side shot mirror. I spray paint the plywood black to match. The go pro case has a glass where the lens cover is. So I use heat to remove the glass. I attach the plywood to the side shot and then attach the case to the plywood. Here are some pics.
