Side shot system

hey, all. Told myself I would never get into recording any shooting footage, but this one caught my eye, the side shot system. It’ll be awhile before I get my mittens on one of these, and was curious on feedback from those that have bought, used, or witnessed its use from others. I know Shooter1721 has a vid on it, I’m more wanting to know from you “local” folks that know about this system.

thank you, and happy new year!!

The system works as advertised and is very easy to work with. The camera on my phone is not the best (Motorola). The adjustments take a few minutes to nail down, I suggest you use a gun vise or bench rest that will hold the gun for you. You will need two hands free, and three hands make it easier.

I like to share the videos, but mainly I like to rewatch my hunts when I can't get out to shoot due to work, weather or family. As a teaching/coaching tool, I see the potential. One this to note, the side shot flips tthe image left/right from what the scope view is.

I like the sideshot, but..... There's a lense that goes over your scopes entry. I wanted to use the sideshot for ft, see if I could compare my range estimation and Cross hair placement vs results.

The lense changed my range estimation significantly, kinda obscurred some detail.

So no luck there.

All and all, good for hunting ifn your game gives you a bit of time to activate everything.

I also got a pair of Aimcam glasses, found it very useful for recording within the distances appropriate.

I do plan on trying the sideshot at the next airgun silhouette match, but I'll need to lift some weights to manage the extra lbs.

It was very useful with my fx, dialing in a new caliber. Reviewing the film, I could tell where I was sometimes controlling the recoil and other times letting it rock freely. It explained 1/4" spreads I was experiencing. Worth it for those kind of insights!
