Sideshot for GoPro?

According to the video, they would be available buy the time the video was uploaded. I haven't been able to find one. I am in the market for one for sure. I wouldn't buy a sideshot to put a phone on. Phones are for phone calls. I'll wait for the GoPro adapter.

Are you sure you didn't see Matt using a Russ Baer Scope Cam? That looks a lot like a typical GoPro mounted to the beam splitter. It probably is just some action cam like a GoPro, but I believe it has a focal length lens that is best for scope use.

Me too, I'm also waiting till it gets out to market, I just bought a Hero 7 (hope it's compatible) so that would be a much better and comfortable option to do scopecam videos. We all must be in the lookout, I might send an email to the guys at sideshot asking deadline, I'll comment here if any news comes my way.

It wasn't the Russ Baer. Matt mentioned in the video that it was a sideshot and would be out soon. He was using the prototype in an earlier Africa video. As a guest on the YouTube "Air Hunters" channel.

Is the 1080p@240 for the GoPro HERO 7 BLACK sufficient frame rate to show pellet in flight?

I use 240fps on a Casio Exilim and even .177 pellets can be seen. I hope this may be of some help.

I've seen the Russ Baer, it's a great kit but for me is too much money since it only sells the complete package with the camera included so I need just the rig to set my Gopro on.

I contacted the guys at side-shot, they told me that ATM there's no estimate retail price and that they are hoping to launch it at the end of October if everything goes to plan.

The Russ Baer product seems highly overpriced considering it's a $40 camera. Even the Side-shot seems a bit pricey to me especially since it doesn't come with universal mounts meaning you need to buy additional mounting rings for each additional scope tube size you have. Still, it seems to be a quality product so I guess I should gripe too much. Here's hoping the GoPro version hits the market soon.

Be sure that the thing you are waiting for will be much more expensive than RusBear's ScopeCam ready for use.
By the way, the camera that is used in my ScopeCam costs 120 USD and it is the most modern version of "not GoPro" cameras of the same form factor possible.

I have also been watching for this, and the deal breaker for me will be not able to use the new hero 7 I just bought, or having to modify it so it can only be used for this one application.
Hope they have a way around that issue, if they do not it is a dead product for me.

Dead product for me then, so I spend $400 for a gopro that will have zero other uses then for a scope cam....and then I spend another $200 for their setup most likely...so I am into it for around $600. Yea....think I am going to pass.
Might do their regular phone setup, but charging $60 for what basically is a scope ring, give me a break.....I am all for paying for a good product, but I am not about getting bent over for it.
