Side shot and slow mo on android

You can't use slowmo on Android phone. You can use it on iPhone but its gonna be very blurry cause you are zoom in. Android phone can not zoom in while in slowmo. You will get very tiny screen and over exposure and can't see anything. If you want slowmo, get a go pro hero 7 black. It will do 1080p 240fps. But you will need a lens to zoom in. Cause go pro cant zoom while in slowmo too.

Phones are terrible devices to record through scopes with. The lenses are so small and don't handle vibration well. Beyond that the mounts have no true diopters. It's a constant battle of balance between good camera picture and through scope view. The best scope footage I've seen is from Claudio over at Patagonia Airguns. He uses a modified Phone Skope mount, GoPro with backbone and custom block mount with diopter adjustment.

I just noticed a company called tactacam , only thing is the price is the same as buying say a gopro 7 and sideshot

The Tactacam is a great unit, very slim and out of the way. I use the Tactacam and have a wide angle with remote I use on my dog. If you are looking for the best slow motion a modified GoPro is better but will require some tuning to get best picture. I like the Tactacam because I can make adjustments via WiFi from my phone. This is especially helpful for adjustments during low light conditions. The other thing I like is you don't have a big bulky unit that can get bumped out of adjustment when hiking rough terrain. For field use it's worked well for me.

Thanks crossman , im trying to weigh up what i actually need as im not intending to use the footage for the likes of youtube etc , i need it to be able to film my target / hunting work and see how or why i miss things and to see what im doing right ( and wrong lol) so would the tacticam have playback thats good enough to view a pellet or slug at say 100 yards ? Or would the gopro be a better option?

I think if the intention is to slow down the footage enough to see pellet flight the GoPro is better. Like I said it will take some time to set up to best quality.
