Side-Shot

Well, I finally got to unwrap my side-shot yesterday. I got it last month but decided the wife could give it to me for Christmas.

I put it on my SWFA 10X42 scope and it is a very tight fit. The barrel from the turrets to the parallax adjustment ring is very short and I was just able to get the mount attached and have enough room for the mounting rings. I may end up putting it on my Hawke later.

Using it in the house it seems solid and looks like it will be stable in the field. Looking forward to some warm weather (it is in the low 20's now) to get out and give it a good test.

I got mine on the Black Friday sale 25% off 3 by 15 by 42 ffp swfa and he's right it is very tight but the Rings and everything else makes it hard to put a bubble level on that I managed to but I just need to get used to it I mounted it on my raw 30 caliber show us a table gun show it's not too much too bad just need to take my time and get used to it

The Side-shot works really well, if you have a right hand feed magazine. It fits nicely on my WC. I shot some test video with it and I had no problem. Now I have to really learn my iPhone camera settings and video editing. There will be a steep learning curve there.

The only downside I can see is the quality and capabilities of your videos are dependent on the camera in your phone. It is too cold for long term experimentation, but I will be working on this as time and weather permits.
