Side by Side Comparison - Brocock Compatto vs FX Impact Compact

Okay, this is just side by side comparison of my Brocock Compatto Sniper XR vs my new FX Impact Compact and below are will show how I am comparing. Also, some people are going to say how can you compare a $1200 / 1100 euro vs a $2200 / 2000 euro gun? Well, I own both brands you could say are first tier brands and sell rifles in similar price ranges. Also, I bought both guns with my own money so here is what I think. Additionally, this is also more of a physical feel, visual build quality and handling comparison. No shooting accuracy, and similar just physical / visual. Lastly, both guns were purchased new in the box by me, are 2020 models and maybe price does affect some of below. And yes, I am using a WWII artillery round as a door stop.

Weight of the rifles as set up: both exactly 8 lbs 9 oz / 3.9 kg

Overall Length: Brocock Compatto: 34 inches / 864 mm and FX Impact Compact: 25 inches / 635 mm

Trigger: hands down FX Impact Compact

Cocking Lever: FX Impact Compact

Safety: Sort of tie

Metal work: a bit better on the FX Impact, and yes maybe comparing the Impact to a Brocock Commander would be fair, but both are very good.

Ergonomics: Slight edge for FX Impact because of the position of the cocking lever, but the Brocock Compatto very good also.

Balance: Can’t really compare because of the differences in design of the overall gun.

Also, I installed the Saber Tactical bottle mount to the FX Impact Compact and I notice it adds about an 1” to the height of the bipod. Please let me know what you think.

Get you one of the cheap atlas clones. I had that exact bipod you've got and chunked it for the Atlas clone I picked up off a member here. Works great for the reasons stated by Leon. Plus, no downward stress on the bottle. They're about $35-$40 USD here in the states.

Lovely setup, I've owned a Commander and Concept Lite so with respect to metal work I'd say they're the same.

Thanks for sharing with us!

On additional comment I want to make with my comparison between the Impact and the Compatto is the magazine, and hopefully something I hope Brocock gets from Daystate, magazines you can UNLOAD. One thing I don’t like about my Brocock is you can’t take the ammo out of the magazine without “using it” in the gun. At least I don’t know how you can simply remove it and this is one feature I love about the magazine design that comes with the Impact. Hopefully Brocock will get the new Daystate magazine next year that is on like the Daystate Revere.
