"Show off" your Leshiy thread

Love the looks of your two Leshiy's! Do you mind sharing details of how you did the cordless Paracord wrap?

Sure, I love to share! Cordless means that I pulled the cords out of the sheath, this allows it to lay flat & still engage the magnet in the folded position. I tried numerous "fancy" wraps, but settled on the most basic wrap. Here's a good DIY video.

I bought my paracord from www.paracordplanet.com thru Amazon. The hardest part is deciding which color(s) to buy!

I have the paracord and now I have the knowledge. Thank you!

This topic inspired me to see if I could squeeze any more efficiency & harmony out of my pair and still maintain >20 FPE.

I managed to reduce the regulator pressure & the HST on both of them to produce an average of 723 FPS (21 FPE).

Can you believe 28 and 38 shots off a 250b fill. Leshiy's can be filled to 300b, but I rarely fill that high. I could probably get a few more shots, but at the expense of a greater ES.

Super happy with the results. Check out the tune on the 350mm barrel: looks like it drops off the reg at shot #35, peaks only 3 FPS higher for 2 shots, then drops off. 💪

I like this thread 😜

I’ve been exploring the ridiculous side of the Leshiy capabilities of late. The Dirty 30 and Nasty 9 tunes are outrageous (and a ton of fun).

when I’ve had my fun, I always find my way back to the .25 350mm, but with the Alkua moderator. Unfortunately super hard to get at the moment, but I know Brian is working on it. It’s hands down the quietest I’ve used... even running it super hot.

Just put my 25 over chrono for a few shots and have it going 780 FPS I will do a full run up on the setup tomorrow while at the range...Want enough power for the 50-60 yard shot on the squirrels at my step mom's place.....But I also want it quiet so I don't piss off the neighbors that live near her. And I am waiting to hear feed back on the new moderator Edgun has.

Tony P.

PS 650 cord will be ordered this week....That way I don't have to take out the middle stands because on 650 there are no middle strands.

Well here she is, #3478 and most of the goodies. The 250mm .177 barrel, 350mm .25 barrel and shroud extension are coming in a separate package:

I never thought I'd say a gun is light, they all seem heavy to me at my age and size (5'5", 118#). This thing is really light, hardly more than a Marauder pistol (prod). After the scope and monopod are on, I think it will be just right. Surprisingly, the grip fits my hand perfectly, but I have really small mitts. I can grip it fully with no fingers overhanging. I'm impressed. If it shoots well, I will be a happy camper.

Impressive results @Michael. Is that with the stock regulator?

No, I'm using Huma-Air regulators.

Ed does rolling updates all the time... folks just getting Leshiy's will notice that OEM reg is about 1/2 the size. It preforms really well, and adds significant shot count. It now has the estimated lines for adjustment, but if you're a guy who really wants to fine tune and get things exact... you'll need a reg tester. To my knowledge there are not any commercially available reg testers for OEM regs. With that said, the estimated lines on both the HUMA and OEM regs are all pretty close... 5-10 bar range.

Here's my $.02... 99% of the people who do not have power restrictions should leave that reg as is. Keeping it at 120bar you can shoot anywhere from .177 to .30 with reasonable efficiency from 600-900fps. This makes swapping calibers a 30 sec exercise as all you're doing is adjusting the HST.

While fine tuning will help net results like Michael's, it comes at a cost for many... broken valves, chasing leaks from depressurizing over and over, etc. It's counter intuitive, but the higher reg pressure protects that valve.

If you are a person who wants to tinker, and play around with the lower tunes... then I would suggest the HUMA sub 12 kit. HUMA has a reg tester for one, and given the tiny plenum, you really want to be exact with your reg pressure. Michael, you will 100% get more shots with this kit, but yours is shooting so well... I'd go with the if it ain't broke, don't fix it... however you have 2 ;)... so something to think about.

With the Sub 12 kit, I've shot everything with success except the 9mm... that's a different animal. You can easily get up to the speeds Michael is shooting and beyond. If you are using the Leshiy for 50 and in... and want to keep things backyard friendly and safe... this is the route. You combine that with 350mm barrel, and things get crazy shot count wise and insanely quiet, as you're getting about 80fps of free speed (ie. you can tune things down even more to achieve the same result). I've seen tunes take .177 and .22 above 80 shots... I personally shoot the 34gr and get around 45/50 at 500 fps. The 25 kings are around 630fps and get around the same shot count. This gives me 2 options that I can quickly go between using the ATN x sight 4K pro profiles, but if you have a traditional scope, just sticking with the one pellet is fine. I have the stalker and move it around from gun to gun (now on the R5M).

Anyways... something to think about.

Good info tflats99. My goal was to find good balance between shot count, muzzle report, and muzzle flip. 20 FPE is where its at for me. I didn't know that low reg pressure could adversely affect the valve pin? Does a 12 FPE kit come with a different valve pin?

I agree 120b is a really flexible point. You can pretty much shoot anything at that pressure.

The valve is the same, just shorter. You have to cut a standard one to fit. The sub 12 hammer spring is significantly lighter though, and in combination with the small plenum allows you to get into much slower speeds. For true sub 12 needs, there’s even a plastic reducer that goes into the plenum. I could 100% replicate your tune but with more shots in the

<edit> sorry, it cut off in mobile and I didn't finish.

Net/net, sub 12 kit in the leshiy is really flexible, and can serve a purpose for almost all backyard'ish warriors using the Leshiy for that 50 and in. The smaller plenum and lighter hammerspring make things quieter, consistent at the lower tunes, and way more shots... especially in the 350mm config

As I said above though... for folks not required by law, the OEM reg left alone, and just hammerspring adjustments is the route many should go if you just want to pickup and shoot, and not be OCD about ES and eeking out a few more shots.
