Should I pay more for a used Leupold 3-9x33mm EFR

I'd love to hear how you make out. The EFR is the very scope I'm looking for as well. Personally I am a little leary of purchasing anything off eBay with all the Chinese fake goods you can end up with.

I'll let you know how it works out, I've had a few Leupold's should be able to tell it same old quality is there. Your right about fleabay I hate going that route.

I mounted the little Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x33 on my FWB 300S great fit for this gun for my needs, I can get to the loading port without fighting the scope. Although I would not recommend any 9 power scope for benchrest competition for my needs 25 yards backyard bench shooting I can clearly see the 1/4 in dots on the target.

The scope

Very clear not much better than my Nikon EFR 3-9 if any

Fine duplex reticle could be finer but not bad, better for target work than my Nikon EFR dot. Great for hunting

Turret click adjustment very touchy the clicks are very close you need to pay attention when making adjustments, could be a lot better.

Low light condition outstanding like Leupold says "See more in less light with Twilight Light Management System" whatever they did it works.

AO adjustment a little tight but this is not a target scope, I like it the way it is. Another thing the AO ring turing does not affect scope caps not attached to the front bell.

Can you buy a better scope for $300.00 maybe, I've never had to sent a Leupold back for repair, I have sent other brands in this price range back. I have learned not to buy the scopes you hear about all the time with great customer service, don't want service. I had much rather pay for a scope that won't let me down in the time of need.

Bottom line I think the new EFR is is just as good as the old model and a bit brighter.
