Shooting the Sig ASP 177 at 100 yards!

It would seem I found another crazy accurate rifle. Shooting a Springer at 100 yards is not easy. This was my first time shooting this rifle. This is amazing. I’m using CP heavies. A special batch from long ago and far away. I have not cleaned the barrel. I have not adjusted the trigger. I do not like green eggs and ham. I like this rifle a lot.

wind was left to right from 1 to 4 inches.

Here is the other crazy part. To go from 42 yards to 100, I guessed 60 clicks. It was right on. That’s crazy. I was hitting point of aim immediately.

Nice shooting guys. I was doing some shooting out to 90yrds with both my HW95s in .177 and .22 caliber. I was able to keep most of my shots on a paper plate but I really want to be able to shrink down my group size.

I was still pleased with the results because I never thought that would be a realistic distance for a spring gun. It's surprising what some of these guns are capable of.

Agreed. I NEVER thought I could stretch a Springer to that distance with any sort of predictability. I figured the projectile is so light it would veer, tumble, spiral, etc...



Your 95 can probably do much better than that. Lots of time shooting and paying attention to the small things.....

Definitely more scattered adding 58 yards of distance! Was it windy ?


It was not very windy. I would call conditions excellent. 100 yards with a Springer, is an interesting experience.

Yes it is! I found 75 yards, and even 50 to be interesting. I wasn't sure I'd ever try to group out that far with a springer. Now I'll go to 100 for groups because of you!!!
