Are there any clubs shoots that shoot conventional steel Silhouettes according to Silhouette rules.

There is an Air Rifle Silhouette club in Houston. The Arlington Sportsman club in Texas shoots smallbore and cowboy sillouettes, but no one has volunteered to run air silo matches, just field target.

Yes there are clubs that shoot airgun NRA silhouette but they are few and far in between. Most unfortunate. We shoot air pistol and air rifle silhouette at Falls Twsp. R & P Assn just north of Philadelphia, PA. We also shoot IMHSA air pistol silhouette. We shoot the air pistol silhouette both indoors and outdoors.
Unfortunately attendance at the matches is not what we would like to see and it looks as if next year will be our last year running air rifle silhouette The match director is stepping down and it looks like nobody will step up to replace him. I do expect that we will still have some air pistol silo matches beyond next year. We just don't have a lot of interest anymore
It's an old story but if people do not want to participate and nobody is willing to run the matches they will disappear. Another issue is that some clubs, for whatever reason don't , choose to run sanctioned matches with a result being that people don't know about their matches and basically makes them irrelevant.
All of this is really a shame because airgun silo has a lot of advantages over the other silo diciplines.

North West Arkansan Spring Gun Association holds twice a month silo matches and starting in December will hold regular Field Target matches.

NWA weather is ideal for indoor Silhouette. Please plan to attend our matches WEDNESDAY November 6th and 20th.
Indoor silhouette matches occur on the first and third Wednesdays of the month (occasionally moved due to holidays). At 5:30PM the range opens with sight in period and we are finished by 8:30PM. A 20-shot pistol relay starts the competition at 6:00 PM followed by the 40-shot rifle relays.
Our host for indoor silhouette is Outdoor America
1375 N Thompson Street Springdale, AR. 72764.

It's nice to hear there is a couple of clubs left that have original Silhouette shoots. I am afraid both your clubs are along way from Arizona. I was surprised there were not more replies. The camaraderie at the AR shoots sounds like a great time.

Bayou Airgun Club in Baton Rouge hosts silhouette matches after the benchrest matches if interested parties show up. Great folks there.
