Shooting my Re-Purposed Spinner Target

I haven’t had the Gen I .22 Marauder out for awhile so I thought I would take it out and change the air in the tube.

A quick 40 shots from 20 yards.

The .22, shooting 14.3 grain Discovery HP pellets can’t hold a dime sized group at 20 yards.

Maybe a quarter.

Shot #31-40 I shot the spinner and hopefully there is a video.

The Last target you shot I first saw in Ohio a couple of weeks back at a shoot for the first time. I'd love to have about 5 or 10 of those 3 piece/swing targets permanently setup in my back yard. They are so cool. I don't think they make them anymore. Too bad.

I know that PCPs are great guns but something about hitting the mark with a springer consistently is such a feeling of accomplishment for me. I'm exclusive to springers myself. I have 2 Air Arms TX200s. Ones a MKIII in .177 and one is an HC in .22. Maybe it's because everyone is running away from springers these days and to PCPs. I hear it all the time: "I don't want to work that hard at it." meaning the springer take consistent practice to be good at it and they don't want to practice. I love to practice! My favorite practice shot right now is 55 yards at 1 1/2 inch set of 8 spinners. I even have a 2 inch target attached to a bell at 65 yards. I would go out further if I had the room from my deck. Springers I'm sure makes us much better marksmen don't you think?

Wow! What a fun collection. I've been shooting springers now on and off for more than 40 years. I have never considered myself a collector. Now you make me wish I had all those rifles I gave up over the years. lol! You'll get a kick out of this. I've only had my TX200 HC .22 a couple or three weeks now so it's just getting broke in. I shoot it as much as I can each day. It's really coming into it's own. I went out and bought some Crosman Hallow Points at my local Walmart just to see how they'd do at my 65 yard 2" bell target. They will hit that thing almost every shot! That's a whole lot of fun for $6.30 per 500. You got to like that! I still have to retighten the stock screws ever so often. Have you ever used LOCTITE brand VIBRA-TITE on your stock screws? I'm thinking about giving it a try.
