Just remember Ncrary....... Your last box you received!

I usually ship UPS, but I know about their high rates. I have opened an account with them and I set up a shipment online. You just put in the package dimensions, weight and declared value. You prepay by credit card and print out the shipping label, then drop the package off at a UPS store or snag one of the delivery trucks. You don't have to declare what's in the box or answer a bunch of dumb questions as you do when you bring the package into the store. Just drop it off and run.

When I sell a firearm, my FFL dealer ships by USPS. Regardless of what I ship, he charges me $45. I've tried shipping by USPS, but again, you have to answer all kinds of questions. Airguns are ok to ship according to my USPS guy here in FL. Firearms, I think, requires an FFL license of the recipient.. Insurance is another thing. USPS charges $3 per $100 of value over $50. That can add up if you want to insure your package. However, I'm not sure it's worth it because I've heard that it is impossible to collect if something happens.

Anyway, the bottom line is that shipping does SUCK!
