Sheridan E Series Rebuild

Today was the first day of rain since fire season to I could play airguns. After the annual lab-to-the-vet day I rebuilt a E-Series I bought over 20 years ago in a swap store.

I never shot this gun as it leaked when bought.

I really had a BLAST shooting t today. Only ran one co2 cartridge, forgot to count shots as the second shot at 50 yards rang the fatman silhouette. I hit it one more time, them moved up to the 25. First group was pretty rough.
Repainted and shot this group.
With 13.73 JSB Exacts this hits real hard at 25 yards. I wonder if I want to tune the open sights or grab another scope mount and get a new redddot.

Sorry for the excitement, its was a real fun day since it held co2 and shot well!

Congrats on your success! I like the compact size of that model, especially compared to the 'hogleg' Marauder and 13xx series. Did you happen to take any pics of the rebuild process?

Sorry I never thought of it.

I did however follow two videos that I will post here.

I polished all o-ring faces with OOOO steel wool. I bought a 1/2" wood dowel to drive the chamber plug out. I also got my Sheridan tool from Amazon. Rebuild kit came from Macs.

They are fun aren't they.

I get 35-40 usable shots per cartridge with mine. First ten shots average 398fps with the JSB 13.7gr. pellets.

I am getting about the same number of shots with the same pellet.

Here is my chrony string from yesterday. It was cool yesterday and I think if i would have waited the same length of time between all of my shots my string would have been even better. I am really having fun with this gun and very glad I kept it until I could rebuild it.
