Sheridan Blue Streak

Was given yesterday a Sheridan blue streak 5m/m 20 cal. that has not been shot in many years- excellent condition- would like to know any precautions beside cleaning barrel first ? Was told less than 20 pellets thru it. Serial # 197530 any idea of age ? what pellets they like ? what do you owners think of these ? All comments welcome I knowI I'm leaving something out. Thanks in advance Darell

Don't use anything but a crown saver or monofilament fishing line loop to pull patches- the barrel is brass! Lube the pump cup with pellgun oil, pump 2-3 times and dry fire to get the oil into the seals. Pump 2-3 times and put it away overnight to see if it holds air. Always store with 2-3 pumps to keep dirt out of the seals.

Loren Thanks so much for the information, my father inlaw couldn't remember when he bought it. I'm not the greastest with a comp- never could find that info., probably used the words or something haha Thanks !

JohnL57 Thanks for all the info. You've been a great help ! Just one more question the o-ring on the bolt do I use oil or silicone grease or either will do ? Again thanks for all the help! Darell

John Thankyou Would be a nice addition I'll have to talk to a gunsmith because it may need a new front sight too. I see the later models are already tapped for these, sure would of saved me some time & $ but no biggie. Always liked peep sights, Will check the air pressure tonight & wally world or bobs sporting goods for some ammo Thanks again Darell

John Sorry for the late reply, yes holding air, currently stock off being refinished. Will contact P.A. Monday & get some pellets. I ran two patch's thru it & to my surprise it was clean. So far so good Thanks again !

Wadcutter Also sorry for the late reply, you were right walmart =0, bob's= benjamins, sportsmans= rws brand & the front sight was not filed down. Thankyou !
