Sent out for a tune. How long is to long

They should have put you on a waiting list and then called you when it was time to send it to them. This would leave you the option of choosing someone else to tune the gun if the wait was too long. But when they take in the gun, then they deprive you of the option to use someone else. I call it, "hording". They should have let you know up front how long it would take. Were I in your shoes, I would never again use that particular tuner. Just my 2 cents.

I’ve tuned several spring guns and done plenty of custom machining and tunes on PCP guns. There is about 8-10 hours max involved in a spring gun rebuild / tune and about the same, maybe a bit more if there is machining involved in a PCP. How some of these tuners take several months is beyond me.

This mirrors the centerfire rifle market also. It isn’t uncommon to wait 6 months to a year to have a custom bolt action rifle built when there is just a day or two of solid work involved. Sometimes a backlog is the culprit, other times a slow Smith who treats the work as a hobby.

To the OP, can you elaborate on what you are having done? Is this and extensive tune / build with parts sourced from europe of anything like that? There are some situations where the wait may be warranted, but as mentioned above, you seem to have been waiting too long.

"Hynzie"GET YOUR RIFLE BACK ,,IF HIS WORD IS NO GOOD <JUST GET YOUR RIFLE BACK it unfair for me to speculate ,hes not here to tell his side ,,so politely ask for it back hell either do the tune and send it or just send it either way you get your rifle back,,then you can talk terms with another tuner so you knpw the time frame first

Not trying to hi-jack this thread but he knows. Sent him a link to this thread and another one on gta, so if wants to defend himself he can.

Add one more airgunner to the list of "That guy". A full year this month, holding my money during that same period .
I only got a shipping/tracking # after explaining that I would post my negative feedback on every forum available.
There were several more actions that could and (would) be taken if the transaction was not resolved promptly.
If the Mods choose to modify or remove my post,it is their decision. I have a stack of emails and telephone calls available to verify my claims. If I and others tried to run our business like this,we wouldn't have a business.
As someone else suggested,if he wants to dispute our claims he is more than welcome to respond.
