Seneca aspen

I just pump in between every couple of shots to keep velocity somewhat regulated.

+1

Just think of yourself as a human regulator, Tkc2406

Some folks pump every 3 shots or so, and others after every shot, especially if shooting long distance

Just make sure to keep the pump well lubed

Tell me please!

What did you use for the longer barrel?

Did you also extend the shroud?

Photos??

Hey guys, I just got my aspen on Wednesday after many months of planning and work by Nitin over at http://www.precisionpneumaticproducts.com/. He did opened up the transfer port, machined a custom barrel sleeve, and machined a fitting so that all .25 FX liners can be used. I have pics!

Expansion with 25grn XL HP hollow base slug (875fps) and 30 poly core dish base(810 FPS) into a five gallon bucket full of water. I don’t have a picture of the 30 grain poly core slug groups, but 7 out of eight were in a quarter sized hole, with one flyer, similar to the group the 25.4 Kings shot in the picture above. Chronograph results: 25.4 JSB kings at 890-850 for 10 shots, 25grn griffin slugs shown above were going around 870-840 for 9-10 shots, 20grn H&N FTT were going too fast around 925 FPS, and were going all over the place. Lastly, 30grn were around 810-790fps , the most consistent I had, for 8 shots and then drop of hard to around 500fps.

They say to oil it every 1000-2000 pumps or so, I do it way more often than that, probably every 250-500. If it ever starts to lock up, put around 15 drops of your silicon oil on the o rings and small sponge looking material that you can see when you pump is fully extended. This happened once to me, but now that I’m oiling more often it has not happened again.
