Senaca Aspen Pump Issue

I have two of these in 22 cal. One of them has the pump locking up. I took it apart and lubed all the o-rings. Now it behaves differently. It doesn't lock up but when stroking out it meets resistance that feels like it is under pressure. It should meet resistance of building pressure while pumping with the "in" stroke but not the "out" stroke. I am puzzled. Any thoughts? My guess is that a oneway valve is not working. Not sure how to address this.

I really wanted one of those guns but im hearing an awful lot of people haveing trouble with that pump. Particularly about lubing it or that a certain part is impossible to lube unless you do a full teardiwn or something? I am not helping your situation at all im kind of asking you what your experience is like. Will the gun still gas up with the same amount of pumps? Did you have to tear the gun completely apart? Is that gun regulated or not? One guy said yes another said no and the last one said kind of. Im so confused about this gun.

Might just have debris in the check valve not letting it seal correctly. I have the same problem sometimes on the very first couple of strokes. I've had the strength I've had to put into the pump handle increase like air from the pressure cylinder backing up into the pump. It mainly happens when I'm on the closing stroke not the extending stroke so if that's what's happening that maybe the cause.

One other thing, make sure you keep that pump lubed up with silicone oil.

Any ideas how to service, clean, adjust, or fix the check valve? Raden, shooting pressure is not regulated. You make it act regulated by pumping and maintaining the shooting pressure. Say you take your first shot at 2600 PSI, after a couple of shots the pressure has reduced a little bit. At that point you can pump a few times to add back the air that you used up. In essence you are always shooting at a consistent pressure...almost like a regulated airgun.
