Semi auto Benjamin rifle

I like to know how the heck would it cock itself each time you pull the trigger. Some semi pcp used electronic which the marauder doesnt look like it use any. Some semi pcp use the air and redirect it back to cock the hammer. I dont see any tube to redirect the air back into the receiver. The hammer/spring on the marauder is hard to cock. I find it hard to believe it can cock itself.

Have you owned an mrod? The receiver sits directly over the valve body and airtube. Plenty of room for internal plumbing.

Crosman just responded on GTA:

Good Morning Everyone!

Just to kind of clear things up.

Yes, the Semi Auto Marauder is a project currently in development at Velocity Outdoor.

I will say that this was prematurely listed on Midway and should not have been on their website. The images you all saw is of an old design and are computer generated renderings.

All i will say is.... Stay tune for SHOT show 2020 and to expect something in Q2 2020.

That's awesome before that reply I had no idea Velocity Outdoor existed.

Nation,

I know a few designers and engineers that do work for Crosman/Benjamin. As of now, they DO NOT offer a semi auto anything in their inventory, period.

Quess nobody knows everything at these large corporations, or just they didn't want to say anything and just lied to you Tom..

Kkarmical,

I did speak with these guys to extent in June, they did say that they had projects in the works, but wouldn't go much farther. I asked them if it could be a side breech, and they didn't disavow it, but didn't say yes either. As for lying, I definitely would NOT call it that . Phillip Guadalupe, and Nick Hargarther, are awesome guys to pick their minds about anything that can enhance accuracy and keep up with the Jones's, so to speak. I would consider the answers to all my questions I've asked them in the past, middle of the road, non committal answers. I do understand the value of trade secrets and making statements to the public prematurely could jeapordise their current "secret" projects.

All good Tom, I was really just joking a bit. I understand trade secrets and keeping projects under wraps.

Not that I would be in the market for picking up a semi automatic marauder myself, but know a few people that would be into it.

With the webpage being taken down from Midway, and a tentative date of shotshow 2020 for release of an actual gun and not a rendition, we'll see what happens.

IF they are using the "valveless" design like Huben, LCS SK 19 or Sig Sauer( I think) There is no hammer striking the valve to let air into the barrel. I saw a diagram of Huben's works but my "chemo brain" isn't allowing me to recollect. Part of the safety problem ( except with Sig Sauer new PRO X) The Magazine is part of the barrel at the moment of firing so as long as the magazine has a pellet in it the gun is cocked and can be fired( except If the trigger blocking safety is applied) Sig Sauer's pro x has a wheel magazine with an internal coil spring. As you place the magazine into the ProX you rotate the magazine to wind the spring and pulling the trigger releases the pawl and allows a pellet to line up with the barrel then the air is released into the barrel. The magazine is removable between shots, no pellet is lined up with the barrel until the trigger is pulled . On "valveless" semi autos some how the trigger is easy to pull and also moves a stop to allow air to flow through the revolving cylinder pushing the pellet into and through the barrel, a pellet is always lined up with the barrel and ready to be fired. Huben and LCS SK 19 do not have a removable magazine.
