Accuracy points from selling/buying should be separated from forum participation accuracy points.  Selling/buying is very important, so is the feedback about the honesty and integrity of sellers/buyers.  And accuracy points are a very good way to achieve/track someone's good reputation and trust.

But it does not reflect that individual's forum participation if most of the accuracy points were gained from buying/selling.  Recently gave someone an accuracy point for a comment that was very helpful.  But checked his profile because while the member had a 3 digit accuracy point feedback, this same member in the last 5 years only posted 500 posts.  That means that about every 5th post this person made should have been a significant and valuable contribution to this forum.  However, the overwhelming number of his posts were received for selling/buying feedback.  What would prevent someone from selling 500ea cans of pellets in 500 separate Classifieds posting transactions and then receiving 500 accuracy points?

Again, I want to emphasise that it's great to have an accuracy point system that includes the person's conduct on the Classified's Section, but it certainly paints a misleading picture: an individual seemingly using the AGN for sales/purchases only vs. those who are actively involved in the conversations, helping, presenting, etc.   Peer recognition for such active community involvement and contribution to this forum should be separated from examplarery conduct of buy/sell transactions.

Due diligence would involve reading through a persons accuracy to determine whether or not you trust them. Your plan would have the forum administration read through many thousands of accuracy feedbacks to sort them so I can't see that happening.

Does not need to be grandfathered.    Just need to start at some point.    I am not here to correct a perceived "injustice", I am just advocating for a system that better portrays a person's "airgun expertise and contribution " vs "buying/selling history".

I think that a separate buyer/seller feedback also provides a better gauge of the person's trust-level just like the BOI on the Yellow does/did.  By using a separate buyer/seller feedback system, a person would not have to read through all the accuracy points to find out the quality/level of buyer/seller conduct.

This forum is arguably becoming the go-to airgun classifieds and a clear cut line of measurement of trust should be easily determined vs having to dig inside a person's accuracy points.

They are supposed to be separate here but some members including myself didn't know any better at first and mixed the two. I see your point.
