Tuning Sekhmet won't work on the Air Venturi Avenger

Hello again, Everyone.

I have been making modifications to my Avenger and was curious if I could equip it with Sekhmet digital gauges. The last time I had it apart I pulled a gauge off so that I could check the thread. It turns out that it is an M8x1, which is not in the list of available threads for the gauges. They only offer

  • M10x1
  • 1/8 BSPP
  • 1/8 NPT

If you don't mind your gun looking "ghetto", you could use an adapter similar to this one on Amazon. I would use a hydraulic fitting, personally, which would be even heftier.

Anyway, I just thought I'd let everyone know.
 
thats the thread of diana bandit/stormrider to, and apparently some airforce guns as i found some black faced gauges in psi branded airforce that fit ...

Exactly! The PCP conversion kit for my Crosman 2240's uses the same thread. I ordered some of these for those guns, and they actually come branded with the AirForce logo. You hit the nail on the head! This was the actual gauge that I threaded into the Avenger to test it out.

I'm glad that you pointed that out Dizzums. That gives me a little more confidence that Sekhmet may end up supporting that thread since it is used not just on the Avenger...and some obscure 2240 conversion kit.

I really like the m8x1 from a builders standpoint. It wastes less meat in high stress areas and is easy to get to seal with an oring at the bottom. I wish it was more common. I even make my qd fill ports using this thread.

Fwiw, I have a brass China digital that I rethreaded from m10 to m8. Worked fine. I haven’t rethreaded any of my sekhmets.
