When I use offset 45 or 90 degree , I do it gangster style. When I use a scope mounted on top, just raise my head.

Last year one day , I was in thick stuff I killed my limit (6) tree squirrels at 15 yards or less , never used the scope, just the secondary . Most of my shots are 30 - 60 yards, but early season, we get some real close shots,( especially with a call , they run over you) it is real hard to get a moving squirrel in a scope @ 10 yards when your lowest setting is 5 power or so. It can be done, but you will let a lot get away.
